This is psychedelic stoner rock at his best.
Catchy, and cosmic.

"Straight out of the starting gate the driving heavy Sabbath/Sleep influenced grooves of The Futurist takes a hold of my psyche and send it on a stonerriffic journey. This song is a simple tuned down fuzzed out blues based doom jam with some cool little simple math parts thrown in, and vocals that sound like a cross between Al from Sleep and Ozzy. The guitar solo in the middle of the song is strikingly similar to Matt Pike's s t y l e on this song. Already I am at full attention with my stereo cranked to the point that my neighbors can hear it, and it's just the first track!"
