Formed in Portland, USA in 2005 by Mike Scheidt just after Yob split. Dead in 2008 after an unbelievable lawsuit affair!

"In October 2007, the band received a cease and desist order from a Wisconsin-based group Midian demanding that Middian stop using their name completely. Included were orders to cease all sales and existence of physical recordings by Middian. In August 2008, Middian posted on their myspace page that they had officially split up. The band stated that their lawsuit was coming to a close, but it had come with a high cost to the band, personally and interpersonally."

Age Eternal is Middian's first and only release ever.
After this, guitarist Mike Scheidt announced Yob reformation.
If you like Yob, you definitely should check this great album.
But don't espect a simple copy...

This is a real must-have.

"The last incarnation of Yob was undeniably the best. The two albums that featured Mike Scheidt (guitar/vocals), Isamu Sato (bass), and Travis Foster (drums) - The Illusion of Motion and The Unreal Never Lived - were near universally praised and fans of the band had no reason to expect anything but more greatness. But for one reason or another, Isamu and Travis left in July of 2005, and after an attempt to make a go with a new rhythm section, Mike closed the door on the group. But not before announcing his new project, Middian (originally called Age, then briefly Hadean Dusk). With Age Eternal, the debut from this new three-piece, Yob's legacy is honored without being entirely repeated. There's no denying that Middian follows the same stylistic course as Yob, but overall their doom is darker and less celestial."
