Born in New York in 1989. Sadly dead in 1994.
I just discovered this great CD which really makes me think of early Sophia works. Well, I must confess I don't have a large indie-rock music culture so... Just check it if you like Sophia, Low and some other depressive indie-rock bands.
Much recommended.

Born in the early nineties and still active American collective.
Lead by the great voice of Robin Proper-Sheppard.
This one is their first one. My personal favourite.
The story tells it was written after Robin's best friend suicide... I think it definitelly explains the mood behind this wonderfully sad record. Check it and you will understand it at first listen.
Depressing. Tortured. Melancholic. Suicidal?
Absolute must-have.
